Another card to show you

The postman has just been with this lovely card from Jill of Third Age Musings. Isn't it great and the little poem on the back too I love. To see more of the lovely creations pop over to Postman's Knock where we will be posting the cards we have received.

Hope you are all enjoying yet another long weekend? I wonder if I am the only one who wasn't glued to the TV yesterday? We went to the garden centre at Sherborne Castle and the roads were so quiet it was eerie and the staff in the coffee shop at the garden centre were pleased to see us as there were so few customers! This is the view from the car park - lovely isn't it?

This beautiful wisteria is also in the car park at the garden centre.

We did see the wedding on the news later on and even brought out a half size bottle of champagne which was given to me as a birthday present some years ago and which I had been saving for a special occasion (you can tell what a drinker I am can't you?!) and we toasted the happy couple with a glass of bubbly before our dinner. I think they make a lovely couple and wish them every happiness.

Nope, not the only ones...we don't have a TV, so didn't see it either, but our road did have a Street Party...

A lovely card Jane.
Love the foliage colour in the garden centre photo.
I taped the wedding and watched the interesting bits, the ceremony, the travel between venues and the balcony at Buckingham Palace. I agree I do think they make a lovely couple.

Some people are so talented, I can't imagine where you'd start on something as pretty as your card.
I watched the ceremony but didn't listen to it - as someone at my art group that afternoon said, We do this sort of thing so well.

I love the card! We have been very busy with B&Bs so I was cleaning and only saw the wedding in snatches between dusting!

Jane, I love the card. Reminds me of those old postcards you used to see years ago.

Wisteria is such a lovely plant. I have one growing over several arches, and I love it. Sometimes it flowers twice during the year, which is just such a bonus.

I did watch some of the wedding. I really wanted to see her dress, which I thought was perfect and that veil, lovely.

Lovely card!
I watched most of the Wedding. I am not really a Royalist, but I do wish them well, and hope they have a happy marriage. It seems to be a rare occurrence these days!

What pretty pics. It will be great to see you if you can get to London - I'm feeling optimistic that you will! I'll post some ideas of where we can meet up and when, nearer the time.

Great card and oh the scenery is lovely. Makes me miss your area.

Yes, hope they have a happy marriage. They both seem to know what they want and how they want to manage their lives. I wish them well and toast them too.

Sending warm wishes across the miles,

I love Jill Taylor's work--so fun. I got up early (3 AM) to watch the Royal Wedding. I wanted to see it live... I loved seeing all the pomp and jewels, I thought it was like a fairy tale-- a real Prince and his bride!
