Time out

I know have not been blogging with my usual enthusiasm recently.  I have lost the ability to write anything of interest.  I feel that I have said it all before - my creative juices have dried up altogether.

I crave solitude and time to just "be".   I need to recharge my creative and spiritual batteries and so am taking time out for a bit.

Not sure where my path will lead me...

.... but hope it will be as calming and refreshing as these paths we walked last week whilst making the most of the Spring sunshine.

I hope you will bear with me and be waiting for me when I eventually return refreshed and full of new ideas and with the ability to put them into words again.

Meanwhile I wish you all a lovely weekend (in spite of the chilly damp weather we are now experiencing here!)

  1. Jane, I experienced the same thing earlier in the year and had total writer's block, I couldn't even put together a comment for a while!

I always enjoy your posts whatever the subject, but yes it's difficult for us not to feel that we may be repeating ourselves and going over old ground. It takes a lot to keep a blog fresh and interesting; do any of us ever totally achieve that I wonder ... ? Take as much time as you need to re-charge those batteries, we will still be here, looking forward to another slice of life a la Marigold Jam.

Take care and have a wonderful Easter.

  4. Wishing you the best for the weekend Jane. We all have to tread our own paths and sometimes we want to go it alone for a while. We'll be here when you return.

  5. We all have 'down' times now and then but get through them eventually. I've not been well for a couple of weeks, had to have the last cat I'll ever own, Ashley, put to sleep because of old age and now the weather's turned. I can't get my Blog to do what I want it to, either, though I have a lovely new non-reflective screen computer. You have such truly English countryside near you which must be a reviver of spirits.
Take care, come back when you feel able.

  14. I've noticed there are quite a few of us who are not finding much to post about at the moment so you are certainly not alone. Good idea. Go and recharge your batteries. Spring is a great time to do it and you never know you might stumble upon some bloggable stuff along the way.
Keep well and love to D and K
    Cheers

  20. Jane, I think Jeanne summed up the perfect response in her first comment. It is hard to remain fresh all of the time and we have to remember that we start these blogs for ourselves, so if we want a break we should take one. Only at the end of an e mail if you want to share a thought any day. Take care xx
