A couple of videos for you for a change

I came across a lovely little film which I'd love to share - it's on this web page http://vimeo.com/31733784.  I would love to think I might be like the lady in this film one of these days or maybe even now!

And for something in complete contrast this one -whilst researching a book we'd seen mentioned called Lesser Known Weymouth we came across this little video -  I'm glad I didn't park my car on the lines near the harbour!

Normal posting will resume as soon as I get enough free time to write something!  Thanks you all for your comments on my previous post I am afraid I fell at the first hurdle regarding not using the oven as we were out of bread so I made some and then I had planned jacket potatoes for Monday lunch and then I had a friend to stay so the oven got used.

  1. Goodness, that lady is amazing, I do hope I'm like that when I'm 95. What a beautiful healthy outdoorsy home she has as well. How inspiring. CJ xx

  2. That lady is brilliant. I have just watched another video of her made last year I think. And as for the cars parked on the lines at Weymouth,,,

  3. Loved the Vimeo video! I'd like to be as that woman is. Maybe I'd better start exercising??? Her little home was wonderful, peaceful.

  4. What an amazing and inspiring lady! It's never too late to exercise, it just shows how amazing our bodies are. Thank you for sharing the video! I just watched a whole film in which she (Maia Helles) explains a bit how her mother developed this particular method of movement and shows her exercise routine. If anyone interested, here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObAgsE-rPgI

  5. beautifully filmed first video, how aspiring. As for the train, I dont think I have seen anything so bizzare as a train going down the middle of a residential street.

  6. I remember finding and loving the film about Maia some time ago - what an inspiration. And while I wouldn't be going down that particular exercise regime (!), it certainly confirms by own firm belief that keeping active and interested in everything in life leads to a happy and healthy old age.

  7. I have seen the film about Maia before, she is amazing isn't she. Sadly as a rheumatoid arthritis sufferer over 40 years her junior I can only envy her her suppleness.
