The sweet peas after a slow start are coming on a treat and along with our daily portion of runner and French beans we are now able to have a daily picking of their beautiful flowers and to enjoy their wonderful perfume whilst eating our meal!
I have today posted another section of my memories for those who like that kind of thing. This time you will find it on a separate page and you can access it by clicking on Shopping and Food at the top of my sidebar. I hope this works OK as I am not much of a tekkie and I have achieved this new page after much e-mail help from Lorraine at The Balancing Kiwi - many thanks Lorraine. I am afraid the memories come without illustrations as I have nothing suitable to hand and if I spend any more time searching for something to add you'll never get the post at all!
your sweetpeas look lovely and i can just imagine the gorgeous fragrance that's filling your room.
ReplyDeleteI'm now off to read your memories page, i do think you should write your memoirs, i'd buy it!
xx
Oh my sweetpeas haven't really amounted to anything - they are still only a couple of inches high... :-( Don't suppose they have a hope of flowering now.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you managed to get an extra page up - I really enjoyed reading it.
What lovely sweetpeas - mine are ok, but not producing enough to pick though. But I do have copious quantities of runner beans though, I can't imagine a summer without them, can you?

That pretty little blue vase shows your lovely sweetpeas of beautifully. I bet they smell divine.
ReplyDeleteOne of the joys of Summer, freshly picked Sweet Pea's...

Enjoy those sweetpeas.... they are just THE scent of summer, aren't they? I have NO idea how you added your extra page, I tried once and just about lost the will to live........ shall pop over to it later this evening.
ReplyDeleteOh my word: Word verification: "dying"
My sweet peas have been wonderful this year....they had plenty of rotted horse muck, that seems to have done the trick.....
ReplyDeleteIt all sounds so prolific in your garden Jane! Sweet peas are so lovely. In a recent post Cathy had some beautiful dark navy blue ones. They would look stunning in your vase - just as your bunch does. I'll get over to the link later. Lesley
ReplyDeleteLovely sweetpeas! So pretty in the vase! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm just going off to read your memories now, you have had such an interesting life and a lovely style of writing about it! :) x
