Home Again!

I have just returned from a week staying with French friends in France - I have a lot of catching up to do and also a lot of photographs to sort through and later on I will share some of them with you. For now I thought you'd like this little house - a gift last week from one of my French friends with whom I used to go to yoga and to patchwork group. Isn't it cute? I shan't use it for its proper purpose as a key holder as it would get spoiled in the bottom of my bag (along with who knows what else lurks there!) but will keep it on my pinboard where I can see it and enjoy it and be reminded of friendships made when living in France.

  1. How lovely that is and what a kind thought. I know exactly what you mean about the depths of the handbag, I always find a multitude of surprises when I finally bother to clean mine out. Looking forward to hearing about la France, we're off there very soon. x

  3. That is so cute. Thought I'd got the handbag sorted now I'm all grow'd up, but didn't take into account looking after grandchildren!! Now I find nappy bags, half eaten organic biscuits and sticky things I dare not investigate! Lovely that you keep in touch with your friends and are still able to visit.
    Looking forward to the pictures.

  11. It is really cute! I wouldn't dare to give it a proper use either. Nice idea to keep it where you can see it everyday. :-)

  12. Love the little house. There are a lot of very clever, creative people around aren't there.
How lucky you are to be able to flit over to France so easily. I guess, since you lived there, that you must speak the language. I would love to be able to speak another language as so many of you can over there. It is so much easier to pick it up if you are immersed in it isn't it? We were making quite a bit of progress during our holiday but it slips away quite quickly when you don't use it.
I'm glad you are OK. I was a bit concerned when you weren't around.
    Cheers
    Helen

  13. Lovely to see you're back again - am looking forward to seeing your pictures too. The little house is so cute, what a sweet present. Definately one to keep and admire rather than subject to the depths of the handbag!
