Laugh out Loud

I don't know how many of you are familiar with Alhana's blog Cajon desastre but I urge you to pop over and see the video she has posted called "The Last Knit" - I was entranced and laughed till I cried. It is such a true picture of us crafters who get involved in our crafting to the detriment of everything else sometimes and also of the resourcefulness that many of us ladies posses - do check it out!

I have been having a domestic day today - you are welcome to visit now that my kitchen is properly cleaned, floor washed, paperwork which seems to accumulate and breed everywhere cleared away, hoovering dealt with, bread baked and scones cooling ready for tea!

I leave you with a picture taken this afternoon - which reminded me of a Camus quote "In the depths of winter I discovered an invincible summer" since even though it was pouring with rain the sun was shining and this fabulous rainbow appeared. I post it for those of you who are having a bit of a down time (you know who you are!) and hope it will cheer you up.

Enjoy your evening.

  1. I am glad you enjoyed that video. The first time I watched it I was afraid it had a tragic end, but now that I know I laugh a lot.

That is a very nice rainbow, I don't get to see them very often here!

  2. Thank you for the lovely thought and photo. I have got absolutely nothing done today, so now I am feeling guilty! I will have to go and look at the video to waste some more time - there's always tomorrow for housework!

  3. Loved the video - like alhana, I was expecting a tragic end, but laughed a lot - there is no .
    crushing a creative spirit

  4. Housework, check. Bits of paper sorting - ahh, there you've got me. I just couldn't face them today, along with teaching from home and dealing with last minute homework/tantrums from the boys!

  5. What a wonderful rainbow...wish I could get to see them more often!Love the Camus quote by the way.
Your blog is always more and more stunning.

  6. A pretty post Jane. I saw that video a while ago and wasn't sure if I should laugh or be worried! x

  7. I'm having a housework day today - I have to I've done nothing since the weekend!!

Love the rainbow and I will certainly check out the link.

    Have a lovely day,

    Nina xx

  8. Gosh I really need to get motivated for a housework day!!! Love your rainbow photo - rainbows are always such a treat. We don't see many over here and we were treated to a lovely one on the way to work the other day.
    Have a great day!

  9. Oh how I wish that my kitchen was all tidy and clean like yours! I am so behind with everything at the moment! Busy looking for another school for my daughter who is unhappy where she is. I used to have a cleaner but do it all myself now. I do miss her....I am no not as good as she was! Oh well, a skill I must still keep working at. I love every thing to be sparkling clean but it takes me an age to get it all done! She dis it all in half the time. ;-))
    Take care
